What data do we collect?
Upon registration

- Your password (stored encrypted)
In your musician profile (optional)
- Date of birth (to calculate your age)
- Gender
- Location (city/town, as precise as you like)
- Instrument(s) you play
- Musical style(s) you enjoy
- Your musical level
- Links to bands/recordings (optional)
- What you do and/or want
What do we use your data for?
- To show your profile to other musicians – So other musicians can find you and contact you
- To log in – Your email address and password are required to log in
- To send you important messages – For example, a welcome email or password reset
- To improve the platform – We look at how the platform is used to make it better
- Who can see your data – all fields you’ve filled out in your profile
Publicly visible (if your profile is published)
All fields you have filled in in your profile
Only you and administrators can see:
Your email address
Your date of birth
Your password (encrypted, even we can’t see it)
Your rights
You always have the following rights:
- View – You can always view your own information
- Edit – You can change your profile at any time
- Delete – You can completely delete your account
- Hide – You can set your profile to “draft” so others can’t find you
- Security
We take security seriously:
Your password is stored encrypted
We use secure connections (HTTPS)
Only authorized administrators have access to the database
We perform regular backups

- Keep you logged in
- Make the platform function properly

Maintenance
New users must complete the musician form. If a user does not want this, they can delete their account themselves. If the user does not do this themselves, the account administrator will delete it after one month.
Changes
We may occasionally update this privacy policy. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or a notice on the website.
